CUSTOM-MADE FOR A RARIFIED RIDE

Limited edition collaboration between custom automaker Gunther Werks and bespoke bag brand JAMAH.

Nancy Gale is obsessed with cars. Although captivated by speed, her obsession is driven by nostalgia. Raised in Detroit, the birthplace and heart of the American automotive industry, Gale takes great pride in the “Motor City” and its long history of design, innovation, engineering and manufacturing.

Now a long-time Angeleno, Gale shares Southern California’s enthusiastic commitment to car culture. What became a powerful industry in Detroit, became a lifestyle in California. Beyond the allure of independence, Gale appreciates the style, tradition and legacy of American luxury.

Gale’s respect for the precision and craftsmanship that created the elegant cars of the past led her to found JAMAH, a line of exquisitely designed, made-to-order, leather handbags. Naturally, JAMAH products are handcrafted in America, where according to Gale, some of the finest artisans in the world practice.

Her passions collided serendipitously when Gale connected with Gunther Werks and was invited to work on a collaboration. The renowned Southern California-based automotive company was beginning production of a 25 series, limited edition 400r, a remastering of the Porsche 993. Equipped with the latest technologies developed by industry leaders, each conversion is a customized transformation, resulting in an immaculate experience in luxury.

When she met Peter Nam, CEO of Gunther Werks, at the car’s launch, he was fixated on her bag. Once discovering it was actually her design, his response was to open the ‘frunk’ of the 400r on display and explain that he needed a bag that would fit perfectly.

This is what a luxury lifestyle is all about. When one spends $550,000+ on a limited car, a custom bag made is a must.

Gale created The Frankie Porsche Edition that Nam would offer his customers. Crafted in distressed Italian lambskin, with Porsche "Pepita" (Houndstooth) trim to match the car’s upholstery, each bag is lined with lamb-suede in the car’s custom paint color. As the finishing touch, an engraved plate with the car edition number and a leather embossing with the brand moniker are affixed to the inside of the bag.

Nam understood that a JAMAH bag was the finishing touch to his masterpiece. “Our build process is a work of art, just like the craftsmanship of JAMAH bags. It’s our attention to detail, never-ending pursuit of perfection and the joy in our work that makes this a passion for both of us.”

“The collaboration with Gunther Werks was a dream come true,” said Gale. “It brought us back to what real luxury is all about. Exclusivity, fine craftsmanship and luxurious materials, customized for a curated life, where all the details are made-to-order.”

Together, Gunther Werks and JAMAH engineered a complete luxury experience for the true car connoisseur. Embracing a level of design where no element is left untouched, unfinished or unconsidered, this collaboration established JAMAH’s place in the rarified world of luxury, custom and exotic cars.

The high-octane alliance between Nancy Gale and Peter Nam resulted in a sumptuous, limited-edition JAMAH bag that mirrors the sporty, sexy details and Gunther Werks’ 400R and fits perfectly in the trunk.
